Michael Puglia, ATC, VATL

Mike is our Certified Athletic Trainer at Powhatan High School who earned his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Athletic Training from James Madison University. Mike has worked with numerous athletic programs including JMU Women’s swimming and diving, JMU Baseball, Bridgewater College Football and Harrisonburg High School.

While Attending JMU, Mike’s hard work and dedication earned him the JMU Athletic Training Director’s Award given to the student who excels academically, exudes leadership and has the greatest potential to give back to the athletic training profession. In addition, Mike was an active participant in Capitol Hill Day, which educates members of Congress about the athletic training profession, while soliciting their support of numerous health care issues.

Mike is nationally certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and licensed by the Virginia State Board of Medicine. Outside of Athletic Training, Mike enjoys hiking and spending time with his family and friends.
